Community Mental Health – Volunteer Opportunity
ONSIDE is delighted to be supporting the transformation of community mental health services in Worcestershire, aimed at making mental health services more local, accessible and responsive.
In collaboration with Worcestershire Association of Carers and Springfield MIND we provide a range of support designed to address the wider social and practical needs of people living with mental ill health.
Working within the neighbourhood mental health teams alongside clinical and other mental health services, Community Mental Health Link Workers guide patients through local health, social care and neighbourhood services.
Community Mental Health Volunteers support adults:
- who have been signposted to community activities (e.g. walking groups, choirs, art groups), information and advice
- in both individual and group peer support settings
This is the right role for you if you want to make a positive difference to someone’s mental wellbeing. We are looking for people who can offer compassionate practical support to those living with mental ill health. All training required for this role is provided.
